Bosk Studio and framing workshop is located deep in the heart of Dartmoor National Park amongst the rolling hills and steep wooded gorges of the Dart river valley.

These bespoke solid wood frames are crafted by hand at the workshop, using locally sourced reclaimed timber and traditional framing techniques. Each frame is produced individually to suit a particular print and care is taken to retain as much character as possible from the original wood.

To date we have photographic prints presented in all kinds of re-purposed timber - from old farmhouse furniture to the oak staging from an original Rice horsebox, reclaimed floorboards, solid wood shelving, even windfallen branches from local woodlands.
From farm to frame in sixty seconds
'Five' framed in polished oak
'Holt' framed in reclaimed Dartmoor hardwood
'Amber' framed in white English oak and finished with Jacobean wood oil
All photographic prints are produced at our Dartmoor studio using the latest Canon Pixma professional printing technology, STS Pro pigment inks and archival grade photo paper.
Open editions are giclee printed to matt or semi-gloss photographic papers depending on the presentational needs of each image. I prefer to use oyster or pearl Marrutt papers for colour prints, and PermaJet matt papers for black and white prints. All prints are backed with acid-free board and mounted behind Daler-Rowney mounting card
